In de raad zet hij zich in voor toegankelijkheid, mobiliteit en de energietransitie. Hij diende onder meer het initiatiefvoorstel &#8216;Toegankelijke Straten&#8217; in en werkte aan gereguleerd parkeren en betere OV-verbindingen in de regio. Daarnaast is hij interim-secretaris van de landelijke thema-afdeling Democratie &amp; Rechtsstaat en houdt hij zich bezig met de maatschappelijke impact van kunstmatige intelligentie.<br><br>Van oorsprong econoom, werkte Dimitry als marketeer, ontwerper en creatief professional bij onder andere KPN, in de museumwereld en voor diverse overheden. Hij woont al achttien jaar in de regio Zuid-Kennemerland, die hij dan ook door en door kent.<br><br>&#8220;Het lijkt me ontzettend mooi om, na geslaagde onderhandelingen, als wethouder in Heemstede aan de slag te gaan,&#8221; zegt Dimitry. &#8220;Haarlem en Heemstede delen veel, van OV-verbindingen tot de energietransie, en ik geloof dat we als regio samen moeten optrekken.
