D66 ziet kansen voor meer nieuwe woningen in leegstaande winkelpanden. Nu de coronacrisis zijn sporen achterlaat, moet nog kritischer worden gekeken naar de omvang van de binnenstad, nu en in de toekomst. Groei in de komende jaren lijkt onzeker. Al eerder riep onze fractie het college op werk te maken van het verbouwen van panden in de binnenstad: in mei 2018 steunde de hele raad ons voorstel voor transformatie van winkelpanden naar actueel. De coronacrisis heeft grote effecten op de detailhandel en horeca. We zien dat beide sectoren zwaar getroffen worden door de lockdowns in 2020 en 2021. Ook de toekomst is nog onzeker. Daarbij is de aanhoudende druk op de woningmarkt een belangrijke reden om alles in het werk te stellen om waar mogelijk woonruimte te cre\u00ebren. Teveel mensen wachten nu op een passende woning. Ook verderop in de Donkerstraat en Smeepoortstraat zijn of worden meerdere winkelpanden verbouwd. Die zou betrokken worden bij de Woonvisie \u00f3f de Detailhandelsvisie. De laatste visie is in oktober afgelopen jaar in de ijskast gezet vanwege de coronacrisis. Hierin is te lezen dat de Detailhandelsvisie door de coronacrisis op zich laat wachten, en dat deze in de tweede helft van 2021 kan worden verwacht. \u2018De acute situatie van vandaag vraagt op dit moment alle aandacht\u2019, zo is in de brief te lezen.<br><br>Inmiddels is een nieuwe lockdown van kracht, die tot ten minste 9 februari zal duren.<br><br>&#8211; Deelt het college de mening van de fractie D66 dat een langere lockdown of nog meer maatregelen niet mogen leiden tot nog meer vertraging van de transformatie van reeds leegstaande panden in de binnenstad?<br>&#8211; Ziet het college, net als de fractie D66, kansen in dit programma SteenGoed Benutten, bijvoorbeeld voor de inhuur van extra capaciteit om de transformatie in de binnenstad niet te laten lijden onder de coronacrisis?<br><br>&#8211;
