Dat blijkt uit recent onderzoek waarover zowel de NOS als de Stentor berichtten. Daarmee pakt elektrisch rijden in Harderwijk duurder uit, terwijl de gemeente juist inzet op duurzaamheid, schonere lucht en het terugdringen van CO\u2082-uitstoot. praktijk. Inwoners worden gestimuleerd om elektrisch te rijden, maar worden tegelijkertijd geconfronteerd met hogere kosten dan in buurgemeenten. D66 wil van het college weten welke invloed de gemeente heeft op de tarieven van openbare laadpalen en waarom Harderwijk duurder is dan omliggende gemeenten. Ook vraagt de partij of samenwerking met andere gemeenten, bijvoorbeeld via gezamenlijke concessies, mogelijk is.<br><br>D66-raadslid Thijs Melkert noemt de situatie moeilijk te verdedigen. \u201cWe vragen inwoners om mee te doen aan de energietransitie, maar maken die stap voor veel mensen onnodig duur,\u201d zegt hij. \u201cElektrisch rijden moet voor iedereen bereikbaar blijven. Als de kosten zo hoog zijn, wordt duurzaamheid iets voor wie het kan betalen en dat is precies wat we niet willen.\u201d<br><br>Naast de tarieven vraagt D66 aandacht voor de voortgang van de laadinfrastructuur in de stad. De partij wil weten hoe het staat met de uitbreiding van snelladers bij wijkwinkelcentra, de voorzieningen op bedrijventerreinen en maatregelen om thuisladen makkelijker te maken, zoals kabelgoten en -matten in woonwijken.
