In de begroting voor 2026 stelt het college een verhoging van de onroerende zaakbelasting (OZB) voor, terwijl Goes nu al duurder is dan het Zeeuwse en landelijke gemiddelde. Daarom dienen wij een amendement in om de OZB niet te verhogen, in Goes wonen moet voor iedereen betaalbaar blijven. \t<\/p>\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div\n  id=\"\"\n  class=\"wrapper In de begroting staat hoe het met de financi\u00ebn van de gemeente gaat en waar volgend jaar geld aan wordt uitgegeven.<br><br>De begroting laat een positiever beeld zien dan eerder verwacht werd. Waar eerder nog werd gerekend op bezuinigingen of hogere belastingen, lijkt dat voorlopig niet nodig. De gemeente ontvangt bovendien dividend van de ZEH (voorheen PZEM), waardoor het resultaat met ruim 8,7 miljoen euro positief uitvalt.<br><br>Wij zijn blij met dit resultaat en vinden dat inwoners niet extra hoeven bij te dragen zolang er financi\u00eble ruimte is om de lasten gelijk te houden. De woonlasten in Goes liggen boven het Zeeuwse \u00e9n landelijke gemiddelde.<br><br>Dat blijkt ook uit de cijfers: een eenpersoonshuishouden betaalt in Zeeland gemiddeld \u20ac870 aan OZB, landelijk \u20ac957, en in Goes \u20ac975. Zo zorgen we ervoor dat de woonlasten niet verder stijgen. De begroting laat zien dat de gemeente daar de ruimte voor heeft.
