Maar met alleen nieuwbouw komen we er niet. Door met andere ogen ook naar de bestaande bebouwing te kijken kunnen we ook op de korte termijn meer woningen toevoegen aan de woningvoorraad. Een mooi voorbeeld hiervan is het splitsen van woningen.<br><br>Onze lijsttrekker Arjen Mehlkop bezocht Marieke van Bergen. Zij woont sinds kort in \u00e9\u00e9n van de drie appartementen aan de Sint Jansstraat in Ottersum die ontstaan zijn door het splitsen van een leegstaande woning naar drie appartementen.<br>\t<\/p>\t Daarom is dit echt super, van 1 woning 3 appartementen maken. Zeker ook omdat deze woning al langer leegstond. De woning is goed zichtbaar aan de Sint Jansstraat, dus dat deze aangepakt wordt is goed voor het beeld en voor de leefbaarheid van het dorp\u2019.<br>Marieke zou graag haar eigen koopwoning willen maar zelfs met een goed budget kom je er gewoon niet tussen. \u2019Daarom is dit appartement voor mij en mijn zoontje ook zo fijn\u2019 vervolgt Marieke. \u2018De appartementen zijn ook gewoon onder de huursubsidiegrens, dus ze zijn voor heel veel mensen ook bereikbaar.
