Na het vertrek van gedeputeerde Jurie van den Berg stelde D66 voor om het aantal Gedeputeerden tot vijf te beperken. Door geen extra gedeputeerde te benoemen, bespaart de provincie over deze coalitieperiode \u20ac800.000,- aan kosten. Fractievoorzitter Tiko Smetsers: \u201cWe zijn blij dat de coalitie na enig getouwtrek alsnog ons voorstel omarmt.
