Dat heeft het Europees Parlement zojuist besloten. Met een nieuwe Europese wet moeten lidstaten aan de slag tegen grensbelemmeringen als een gemeente, provincie of organisatie daar om vraagt.<\/strong>\t<\/p>\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\tDe wet, genaamd BRIDGEforEU, is bedoeld om juridische en administratieve barri\u00e8res weg te halen voor de meer dan 150 miljoen Europeanen die in grensregio\u2019s wonen. Ook voor Nederland is de wet belangrijk, vindt D66-Europarlementari\u00ebr Raquel Garc\u00eda Hermida-Van der Walle. \u201cHet lijkt wel eens alsof Den Haag vooral met zichzelf bezig is en dat de grensregio\u2019s de hoogste prijs daarvan betalen. De grenscontroles voor de b\u00fchne van Faber springen daarin in het oog, maar zo zijn er andere voorbeelden die het dagelijkse leven van mensen ingrijpend raken. Met een Nederlands kappersdiploma kan je over de grens niet aan de bak. En terwijl tankwagens benzine over de grens mogen rijden, mag er geen stroomkabel over de grens worden getrokken om een zonnepark over de grens aan te sluiten op een Nederlands dorp. Garc\u00eda Hermida-Van der Walle vindt de nieuwe wet dan ook nodig voor de verdere integratie van Europa: \u201c75 jaar geleden werd de voorloper van de Europese Unie opgericht. We werden steeds vrijer om over de grens boodschappen te doen, te werken en te wonen. Ook zij zijn geholpen met deze wet, stelt Garc\u00eda Hermida-van der Walle: \u201cDeze organisaties zijn buitengewoon belangrijk. Vanuit de regio kan je niet alles oplossen, dan heb je ook Den Haag nodig.
