Dat is bijna 14 procent van alle huishoudens. Op deze mensen met een smalle beurs is de nieuwe <a href=\"https:\/\/besluitvorming.doetinchem.nl\/documenten\/raadsmededelingen\/2021-102-Bijlage-Uitvoeringsagenda-Armoedebeleid-en-Schulddienstverlening-2022-2024.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">uitvoeringsagenda<\/a> armoede en schulden 2022-2024 van de gemeente Doetinchem gericht.<br>We hebben onze aanpak van de laatste jaren gericht op het verminderen van armoede grondig ge\u00ebvalueerd. Wat blijkt is dat onze inwoners veel meer dan in andere gemeenten gebruik maken van de regelingen. Dan praten we over bijzondere bijstand, collectieve zorgverzekering (gemeentepolis) en het Meedoenarrangement. Ook van onze schulddienstverlening wordt veel gebruik gemaakt. Dat is goed nieuws. nooit de reden zijn dat mensen buiten de boot vallen en niet actief deelnemen aan de samenleving. Ik vind het erg belangrijk dat kinderen uit arme gezinnen sporten of zwemles krijgen. Dat heb ik een kind ook horen zeggen: ik heb liever dat ik mag meedoen dan dat ik mooie spullen krijg. We zetten volop in op vroegsignalering bij jongeren en huishoudens. E\u00e9n op de vijf huishoudens heeft een betalingsachterstand. Denk aan huur, energie, zorgverzekering, telefoonabonnement. Ook onder jongeren zien we financi\u00eble problemen ontstaan, bijvoorbeeld doordat ze hun zorgverzekering niet kunnen betalen. Gericht op jongeren hebben we een specifieke aanpak en werken we steeds nauwer samen met partners om te voorkomen dat er schulden ontstaan. Er is een theatervoorstelling \u2018Grip op Geld\u2019 gemaakt en een lesprogramma voor het onderwijs. We maken duidelijk aan leerlingen dat ze vanaf hun achttiende financieel zelfstandig zijn en wat ze kunnen doen om problemen te voorkomen.<br>Armoede en schulden, ze leiden vaak tot een neerwaartse spiraal. Bovendien leveren ze stress op en werken ze door in hele gezinnen. Dat is een veel neutraler woord dan schuld, want schuld suggereert dat je degene die er middenin zit als schuldige aanwijst. Van dat taboe moeten we af, de schaamte is nog steeds groot. Het kan je ook gewoon overkomen. Veel jongeren weten bijvoorbeeld niet waar ze recht op hebben en dat we ze graag willen helpen.<br>Onze ambitie is dat iedereen mee kan doen door te werken of op een andere manier een bijdrage te leveren aan de samenleving. We zijn er nog lang niet, maar we merken wel dat de bereidheid tot samenwerking steeds groter wordt. De menselijke maat is de standaard in onze dienstverlening.
