Voor steeds meer mensen is dit niet haalbaar. Door het enorme woningtekort staat hun leven stil. Daarom wil D66 een groot woonoffensief starten, waarbij we inzetten op nieuwbouw, regulering en een effectiever gebruik van de bestaande woningvoorraad. Bovendien heeft D66 ervoor gezorgd dat de voorrang voor Diemenaren op sociale huurwoningen omhoog is getrokken naar 50%. Nieuwe woningen moeten niet alleen goed zijn voor bewoners, maar ook voor het klimaat, de biodiversiteit en de\u00a0leefkwaliteit\u00a0in onze wijken. Bovendien willen we zoveel mogelijk woningen levensloopbestendig realiseren. In dit segment zien wij in Diemen juist het grootste tekort.\u00a0Middeldure\u00a0huur is er voor de woningzoekende met een middeninkomen die niet kan of wil kopen. Denk aan docenten, zorgmedewerkers en politieagenten. Zij vallen nu vaak tussen wal en schip. Daarom willen we voor deze groep stevig bijbouwen. Bovendien zorgt een groter aanbod in het middensegment voor doorstroming vanuit de sociale huur. Zo dragen we er dubbel aan\u00a0bij\u00a0om de woningmarkt van het slot te halen.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>We\u00a0vinden\u00a0het van groot belang dat\u00a0middeldure\u00a0huurwoningen niet alleen n\u00fa betaalbaar zijn, maar ook in de toekomst. D66 wil die stap verkleinen door stevig in te zetten op\u00a0meer\u00a0betaalbare koopwoningen.\u00a0Bijvoorbeeld\u00a0door kleinere koopwoningen toe te voegen, waarbij we afspraken maken met ontwikkelaars over maximale verkoopprijzen en een zelfbewoningsplicht. Dat moeten kwalitatief volwaardige en goede woningen zijn. Voor de gemeente\u00a0zijn\u00a0woningcorporaties\u00a0de belangrijkste partners\u00a0om betaalbare woningen te bouwen \u00e9n beheren. Zij vervullen een belangrijke maatschappelijke functie en zorgen dat sociale huurwoningen voor de lange termijn beschikbaar en betaalbaar blijven. Daarom hanteren we als eis dat nieuwe sociale huurwoningen worden ondergebracht bij een woningcorporatie.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>We maken ook afspraken met corporaties over de kwaliteit en betaalbaarheid van hun woningen. Hiermee\u00a0willen we ouderen aanmoedigen om van een grote eengezinswoning door te verhuizen naar meer passende woonruimte.\u00a0We stimuleren dit door middel van een verhuisbijdrage, huurbehoud en een verhuiscoach die ondersteunt bij de praktische zaken rond een verhuizing.\u00a0\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>Bij nieuwbouwprojecten kijken we in eerste instantie hoe we doorstroming binnen de wijk kunnen bevorderen. Hierbij zoeken we naar flexibiliteit in onze regels, zodat we ruimte kunnen geven aan initiatieven van inwoners in plaats van die tegen te houden. Andersom zal een deel van de nieuwe huurders van buiten Diemen komen.\u00a0<br>\u00a0<br>Wel vinden wij het belangrijk dat het grootste deel van onze vrijkomende sociale huurwoningen terecht komt bij Diemenaren. Op die manier kunnen mensen die in Diemen geworteld zijn, ook in Diemen blijven wonen. Daarom heeft D66 ervoor gezorgd dat 50% van de vrijkomende sociale huurwoningen met voorrang aan Diemenaren wordt aangeboden. D66 vindt het belangrijk om te investeren in de sociale samenhang binnen buurten en wijken.\u00a0Dat geldt voor de verschillende buurthuizen\u00a0en verdere community building bij de Rode Kruislaan en in Holland Park. De groene waarde van de weilanddriehoek willen wij combineren met sportvoorzieningen die de diverse verenigingen van Diemen zo hard nodig hebben. We vinden de weilanddriehoek niet geschikt voor woningbouw. Voor de lange termijn wil D66 onderzoeken wat de mogelijkheden zijn om de spoordriehoek te benutten.\u00a0Te denken valt aan duurzame energieopwekking of het verplaatsen van sportvoorzieningen.
