Veel mensen raakt dit probleem, in alle lagen van de bevolking. De rijksoverheid liet berekenen dat het huizentekort tot 2030 in ons land zal oplopen tot zo&#8217;n 900.000 woningen. Afgelopen jaar was het tekort al 280.000 woningen. Hierdoor worden aan de ene kant de huizen voor steeds meer mensen onbetaalbaar. Aan de andere kant groeien ook de wachtlijsten van betaalbare sociale woningen. \u00a0\t<\/p>\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n\n<div\n  id=\"\"\n  class=\"wrapper block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\tDat er een probleem is moge dus duidelijk zijn, maar hoe dit aan te pakken is een grote uitdaging. Zo kan er niet overal en op een duurzame manier gebouwd worden, en gaat er vaak jaren overheen voor de eerste paal de grond in gaat. Ik heb niet de illusie dat we met D66 Den Helder gaan zorgen voor de oplossing hiervan. Wel gaat D66 Den Helder zijn uiterste best doen het probleem te verkleinen!\u00a0Met zulke nationale problematiek moet je ook eerlijk zijn, en niet de illusie hebben dat dit in onze gemeente opgelost gaat worden. Zo hebben we de stikstofproblematiek waardoor al een aantal provincies geen of een beperkt aantal vergunningen afgeven. Wij zullen ons niet vastzetten op een hoeveelheid, flexibiliteit is belangrijk. Op dit moment houdt dat in dat we minder dure eengezinswoningen willen bouwen maar juist meer starters- en sociale huurwoningen. Daarnaast is D66 voorstander van duurzame bouwvormen; denk bijvoorbeeld aan bouwen met meer hout, wat natuurlijk een zeer geschikte hernieuwbare bron is met een beperkte milieubelasting.<br>D66 Den Helder is het gesprek aan gegaan met de woningstichting om te peilen waar de pijnpunten liggen; maar vooral hoe zou de lokale politiek een positieve bijdrage kunnen leveren aan het woningtekort. Hierbij gaven zij aan dat er eigenlijk moet worden gewerkt aan twee aspecten. De eerste is het toewijzen van geschikte bouwlocaties, er zijn genoeg idee\u00ebn om te bouwen maar er is een tekort aan toegewezen bouwplekken. Dit kan er ook voor zorgen om andere ontwikkelaars naar onze gemeente te trekken, en het is belangrijk dat je niet afhankelijk wordt van een enkele partij. Een tweede punt is de regeldruk, de woningstichting gaf aan dat er nu onnodig veel tijd gaat om aan de lokale regelgeving te voldoen. Dat klinkt logisch, maar ook in onze gemeente wordt een woning steeds meer als belegging gezien. Hierdoor worden de prijzen opgedreven en dus steeds moeilijker betaalbaar voor een grote groep mensen. D66 wilt daarom zorgen voor een zelfbewoningsplicht, wel zo eerlijk toch?<br><br>Door te kijken wat we binnen de grenzen van onze gemeente kunnen doen om de huizenproblematiek aan te pakken betekent niet dat dit het tekort zal oplossen. Daarvoor zal er intensief moeten worden samengewerkt op een landelijk niveau en aanvullende maatregelen worden genomen. Wel hebben we als gemeente een aantal middelen die kunnen helpen om de problematiek te verminderen.<br><br>Dat D66 Den Helder die middelen optimaal zal inzetten de komende vier jaar is een ding dat zeker is.
