natuur, water en landschap in haar portefeuille. Dit betekent dat zij plaats mag nemen in het bestuur van de stichting Goois Natuurreservaat. De Stichting Goois Natuurreservaat is een uniek samenwerkingsverband van de vijf Gooise gemeenten Blaricum, Gooise Meren, Hilversum, Huizen en Laren. Elke gemeente heeft \u00e9\u00e9n wethouder afgevaardigd in het bestuur. Door de gemeenteraadsverkiezingen van vorig jaar is het bestuur ingrijpend vernieuwd. Deze maand komt het bestuur voor eerst bij elkaar in de nieuwe samenstelling.<br><br>De omgeving van Blaricum is een belangrijke bepalende factor voor het woongenot van inwoners en de aantrekkingskracht voor bezoekers. Groen maakt gelukkig en gezond. De Blaricumse hei en de omliggende natuurgebieden vormen \u00e9\u00e9n van de mooiste natuurgebieden van Nederland. Het is een gebied van grote ecologische waarde met veel beschermwaardige flora en fauna. Het Gooimeer is een prachtige aanvulling waar valt te genieten van het water.<br><br>De coronaperiode heeft de waarde van het Goois Natuurreservaat nog maar eens extra benadrukt. Veel mensen, jong en oud, hebben genoten van het recre\u00ebren in de vrije natuur toen veel andere activiteiten niet meer konden of mochten. Mensen herontdekte de prachtige bossen en heide. Vooral de vrije toegankelijkheid is een groot goed dat mogelijk wordt gemaakt door het Goois Natuurreservaat.<br><br>In 1932 is het Goois Natuurreservaat opgericht met als doel de instandhouding van het natuurschoon in het Gooi, deze ongeschonden als natuurreservaat te behouden en het genot van dat natuurschoon te verzekeren voor het publiek dat vrije toegang heeft tot de terreinen. Dit jaar bestaat het Goois Natuurreservaat 90 jaar en 2022 is een jubileumjaar met allerlei activiteiten maar ook met grote veranderingen en uitdagingen. In 2021 zijn gemeente Amsterdam en de provincie Noord-Holland teruggetreden uit de stichting.<br><br>Bij de uittreding betaalden Amsterdam en de provincie Noord-Holland ruim 20 miljoen euro. De inkomsten voor het zorgen en laten beleven van de natuurgebieden komen nu uit andere inkomstenbronnen zoals loterijen, donateurs en sponsoren. Maar de structurele kosten van het natuurreservaat worden voornamelijk betaald met de bijdragen van de vijf Gooise gemeenten. Per jaar betaalt iedere gemeente ongeveer 11 euro per inwoner. Iedere inwoner van Blaricum betaalt dus mee aan de prachtige natuurgebieden in en rondom Blaricum. Doordat het Gooisch Natuurreservaat wordt betaald door de lokale bevolking heeft het een unieke uitzonderingspositie ten opzichte van andere natuurgebieden.<br><br>Deze prachtige natuur leent zich voor toegankelijkheid en de drukte met fietsers en wandelaars bewijst dat veel mensen graag op een gezonde, actieve manier willen genieten van de ruimte, het groen en het water. D66 Blaricum wil de natuur niet alleen onderhouden maar is ook voorstander van het verder investeren in de beleefbaarheid van deze prachtige omgeving. D66 Blaricum wil er alles aan doen om het Goois Natuurreservaat ook op de lange termijn financieel gezond te houden en idee\u00ebn te ontwikkelen om dit prachtige gebied in goede staat te houden, ook als dit betekent dat de bijdrage per persoon van 11 euro in de komende jaren omhoog zal moeten gaan. De kwaliteit van het Gooi ligt vooral in de onbebouwde ruimte.
