block-paragraph__paragraph\"\n\t\t\t>\n\t\tD66 Barendrecht bracht onlangs een bezoek aan basketbalvereniging CBV Binnenland in sporthal De Driesprong. In gesprek met bestuur en betrokkenen werd opnieuw duidelijk dat de sporthal uit 1977 niet langer voldoet. De Driesprong is economisch afgeschreven, heeft energielabel G en is niet meer van deze tijd. De sporthal is een basisvoorziening voor heel Barendrecht. Honderden leerlingen<br>gebruiken De Driesprong voor bewegingsonderwijs. Daarnaast is het de thuisbasis van CBV Binnenland en wordt de hal ook ingezet voor onder meer evenementen, crisisnoodopvang en activiteiten van de GGD. CBV Binnenland telt bijna 500 leden en heeft rond de 70\u201380 kinderen op de wachtlijst. <br><br>Toch moet de vereniging jaarlijks dispensatie aanvragen bij de Nederlandse Basketball Bond, omdat de velden niet voldoen aan de normen en in de praktijk te klein en onveilig zijn. Dat schaadt niet alleen de sport, maar ook de<br>uitstraling van Barendrecht. D66 vindt dat renoveren geen verstandige keuze meer is. \u201cAls renovatie technisch \u00e9n<br>financieel ongunstig is, moet je eerlijk zijn: dan is nieuwbouw de route,\u201d zegt Marcel van Prehn, lijsttrekker van D66 Barendrecht. \u201cMaar dan w\u00e9l met tempo, en met de gebruikers aan tafel.\u201d<br><br>D66 wijst erop dat er al een onderzoek loopt naar vervanging van de sporthal. De partij wil dat CBV Binnenland vanaf de start meedoet in de projectgroep, zodat veiligheid, capaciteit en gebruik door scholen goed worden meegenomen. Ook roept D66 het college op om vertraging te voorkomen.
