Na vijf zeer actieve jaren in de raad heeft zij besloten meer tijd in haar nieuwe baan en in haar gezin te steken. Dit gaat helaas niet langer meer samen met het drukke raadswerk. Tijdens haar afscheid werd Irma lovend toegesproken door wethouder Monhemius (D66), raadslid Reshma Roopram (PvdA), de nestor van de raad Klaas Oorsel (EVB) en burgemeester van Belzen. Allen zullen haar zeer missen in de raad. \nBert Arnold werd tijdens dezelfde raadsvergadering ge\u00efnstalleerd als nieuw raadslid en zal tevens het stokje van Irma overnemen als nieuwe fractievoorzitter van D66 Barendrecht.
