Voorstellen van D66 Arnhem om de participatie te verbeteren en het percentage koopwoningen te vergroten hebben het niet gehaald. Fractievoorzitter Mattijs Loor van D66 is teleurgesteld: \u201cGenoeg betaalbare koopwoningen zijn net zo belangrijk als genoeg sociale huurwoningen. Het is jammer dat een meerderheid dit niet wil vastleggen. En de samenwerking met bewoners moet echt goed geregeld worden. Loor: \u201cAls je kijkt naar de woningmarkt, is het voor ontwikkelaars aantrekkelijk om appartementengebouwen als beleggershuurwoningen in de markt te zetten. D66 wil juist een goede mix van woningen. Er is in Arnhem een grote behoefte aan koopwoningen, waaronder betaalbare koopwoningen. Mattijs Loor: \u201cDat de burgerparticipatie en het aandeel koopwoningen niet goed geregeld zijn, is een groot risico. Weerstand in plaats van samenwerking leidt tot vertraging in de plannen. En een te eenzijdig aanbod van huurwoningen is slecht voor de buurt. Wij hopen dat de samenwerking met de bewoners alsnog van de grond komt.
