Twee decennia later reikten mijn tweelingzoons mijn vrouw en mij onze huwelijksringen aan.<br><br>De maatschappij verandert, soms langzaam, soms snel. Ik werkte in de Rijksdag voordat de Muur viel, en daarna. Checkpoint Charlie werd opgedoekt.<br><br>De muur in Nicosia, Cyprus, verdeelt nog steeds een land en vervult mij met verwondering.<br>Het is allang de hoogste tijd voor diversiteit en verdraagzaamheid, voor ontplooiing en verzoening. <br><br>Moge de D66-delegatie in de Eerste Kamer en elders ertoe bijdragen dat muren van verdeeldheid geleidelijk aan afbrokkelen, en zogenaamde minderheden van wat voor aard dan ook vaste voet aan de grond kunnen krijgen.\t<\/p>\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\t  <\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n  <\/div>\n","protected":false},"author":30,"featured_media":521,"menu_order":0,"template":"","labels":[],"search-tags":[],"division-tags":[28],"class_list":["post-519","people-type","type-people-type","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","division-tags-kandidatenlijst"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>D66 Buitenland &#8212;
